FINAL BLOG SUBMISSION
Process image one:
This image captures light internally from the room instead of externally. I thought this would be a great idea as it is a powerful representation of how light can have an effect within the built environment.
Process Image Two:
I have turned one of my models into a wooden house. I thought it would be a cool concept to have it in the woods
Process Image Three:
I have turned one of my models into a concrete houses with wooden beams. I thought that I would put it in the middle of no where (such as a desert) as I feel like this is how most people feel at the moment.
Process Image Four:
This is a scale model of my room made at 1:50. I created it out of a cardboard box that I had lying around the house. It has all the components of my room such as a door, shutters and cutaway. However, I decided to add a sunlight to the roof to improve natural lighting in my room.
Process Image Five:
This is a 3D rendered model of my initials that I created in Fusion. It was a lot more challenging than I thought as I had to change the shape of my letters a few times in order to 'shell' the object.
Process Model Six:
This is a layout of my 3D box that I created in Fusion. I had a lot of fun making this box, however when I tried to create a sketch out of the design to be ready for laser cutting Fusion would crash which is a shame.
Process Model Seven:
This is a model of my room made at a scale of 1:20. I created this model out of foam core. I added an additional level to increase the amount of lighting that penetrated the room as it could come at all angles. This would be cool as depending on what time of day it is the light would have a different effect within the interior of the model.
Process Model Eight:
This is a photo of the first process model I had shown without the lighting. I have used black and white pieces of foam core to give a contemporary feel to my room. I have also included a sunlight which can be moved down or up depending on how you would want the effect of light to have within or outside of the room.
Process Model Nine:
This is a model of my room made at 1:20 without a roof or door. It was taken before I had completed the model. Creating the model at a smaller scale was a bit more challenging than at a larger scale. Especially trying to do the cutaway I have in my room, doing that at a smaller scale the foam core is more likely to break.
Process Model 10:
This is a model created out of both card and foam core at the scale of 1:50. I drew patterns on the ground giving the room an artistic feel to it, which I would like in my room. Adding to the artistic and contemporary feel to the room I included a triangle cut out on the roof. This would create a really cool effect as depending on what time of day it is the triangles shadow would create a cool reflection on the inside of the room.
